I sometimes find it hard to justify making art when all this tragedy is happening in the world. I would like to fly out to all these places and help people in any way I can, because I know I can. I’m often a rather cautious, paranoid person, but when I see someone in trouble, all fear vanishes and my focus is analyzing the situation and filling whatever role is necessary to help. In my experience, the majority of people will hesitate, and I’m sure there are some legitimate psychological reasons for the pause, but whatever process that is, I don’t have it.

The relationship between identical twins is interesting subject matter. I often hear that identical twins have telepathic connections benveen them. This is true with Erna and Hrefna. They are always together. They almost never fight each other. Spending time with them, I feel such comfort in their companionship but at the same time I feel strange because I have not seen such a powerful connection between any can human beings.
